Berkowitz 1992 Interview When He Was Buying Wells Fargo

Bruce Berkowitz – 1992 Interview with OID When He Was Neck Deep in Troubled Wells Fargo (Sound Familiar?)

  1. Devon, with all due respect, if a bank needs capital (not saying these banks do, bear with me) then a cheaper stock price feeds on itself.

That's why I think saying you can buy Berkowitz's picks at a discount is misleading: dilution will be heavier as the stock's price goes lower. Just saying.

  2. I guess you are right if they need capital. But if Berkowitz thought they needed capital he wouldn't be buying.

The stock price being low is only relevant if they do need to issue shares. So I don't really follow what you are saying.
